Update 5/22/17- The County Recorder's office has posted an RSVP link to register:
this is the link to sign up for the June 10th Orientation Event at our MCTEC location on 3rd Ave and Lincoln downtown.
The Maricopa County Recorder's Office is holding a Volunteer Orientation on Saturday, June 10th 2017, from 10:00 a.m. to noon at the ballot processing center on the corner of Lincoln and Third Avenue.
It is important that Republicans participate on Citizen Boards, as these boards open and verify mail in ballots.
The County Recorder's Office requires two people from 'opposing parties' sit across from each other and cross check their work as the mail in ballots are verified and processed.
When no Republican Citizen Board volunteers are available, it will be a Dem and a Green or a Dem and a Libertarian verifying these ballots.
Shifts will be a reasonable duration, and are no longer the 12-15 hours of prior years.
Please attend Volunteer Orientation on June 10th to hear about the process, and to volunteer if interested.
There will be further sessions.
I will update the post as soon as new dates are announced.
