It is a new year but let's look back to the past for some perspective. Change seems to be the one constant. Over the years we have seen not only changes but actually a revolution in our moral thinking portrayed by our nation. Revolutions have been experienced as informational, technological, industrial and perhaps the most dangerous, the sexual revolution. We have experienced 7 sexual revolutions in the past 100 years.

First:         Birth Control of the 1920's

Second:     Censorship of Literature - 1930's

Third:        Miscegenation, (Latin for "mixing genes" or racial interbreeding or
                   interracial marriage) -1950-60's

 Fourth:      Sexual Education - 1960

Fifth:         The Abortion Crisis of the 1970's

Sixth:        Same-Sex Marriage -1980's, built from the Kinsey scale of homosexuality

                   inclination, 1948

Seventh:    What is now called LGBT rights

These are the seven revolutionary steps concerning sexual morality that changed America's thinking. And we must remember that culture precedes politics.

  • We are living with the political fallout of the corruption of our culture.
  • We are living in a culture that is experiencing what author Rochelle Gurstein calls "the death of self-restraint and the repeal of reticence."

  • We are experiencing the decline of the sense of the sacred and shameful.

Not a very uplifting way to start the new year I grant you. However, the truth is unavoidable. But we as Christians should never fear the truth because there is another Truth. Jesus is Lord! Jesus has entrusted to us the position as ambassadors for Christ to a lost and dying world. He has given us the challenge of exposing darkness with the Light. He has commanded us to let our light shine so that people will see our good works and glorify our Father in heaven.

In the midst of his formidable culture of corruption Saint Augustine opined with both a question and an answer; "You say the times are evil. Live nobly and you will change the times."

G. K. Chesterton offered another perspective:  "Hope is the power of being cheerful in circumstances that we know to be desperate."

As for us.... let's choose to live nobly with hope for His glory.

Serving Him with you

Until He comes for us,

Fred

I have been saying for years now we are living in Sodom and Gomorrah because of the dimms and their cohorts.  I am personally disgusted from all of it.  I trust in GOD and his followers and President Trump, even though he is not perfect GOD is.

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

The best in books to make every conservative start thinking in new ways about America and the world being controlled by the Obama Administrations AND Republicans and Democrats.  Some surprises are in store for those who look!

Suppose the earth and its inhabitants exist in order to identify just what causes mankind continually to suffer so many troublesome problems and afflictions.

GOD, PLEASE BLESS AMERICA!  AMERICA, PLEASE BLESS GOD.

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO PRAY, KEEP ON PRAYING. HE HAS HEARD OUR CRY AND HE IS ANSWERING.
