[Editor: With new elections in 2018. some Republicans are talking about which candidates and which elected officials have ever read the party Platform.  We think it's very few. It's a good vetting tool to know it yourself and then ask candidates questions about it to see if THEY have read it.  It's a straightforward document and lines up for the most part with the Constitution.  It's a good idea to vote for those who understand both documents.]

With this platform, we the Republican Party
reaffirm the principles that unite us in a common purpose.

I have been using the "Platform" in my presentations and discussions with our group in the CSPOA (Constitutional Sheriffs and Peace Officer) meetings.  Interestingly enough, (not really a surprise) the republican party hasn't followed their platform at all.  They are a complete waste of time.

I say this because we study and talk about the constitution and what is going on in the country and state then evaluate it's constitutionality.

Been telling our legislators that they swear to uphold our Constitution. They say the are Republican but do not follow the party platform.  We need to quit electing them. Tell them they are out because they do not follow what they swear to do.

Not only is the Republican Party failing to follow the platform but there are glaring inconsistencies between the platform and our nation's founding documents. Though the Constitution makes no provision for the transfer of a delegated power to a third party the Platform continues to accept the Federal Reserve System and its monetary policy as legitimate; the very policy that is responsible for Americans owing over $100 trillion in public and private debt and being in economic bondage.

In the discussion regarding the 5th Amendment there is no mention of people's RIGHT to function as a fourth branch of government having been stolen from them by common law grand juries having been declared "obsolete" in the 1946 change to the Federal Rules of Criminal Procedure; one of the most important RIGHTS of "we the people."

With all due respect to those responsible for the platform they have - in my opinion - failed to address some of the most important issues of our time.

You are so right.  The entire system has been hijacked by the "Party" mentality.  Our country has fallen into the trap of one party against the other when neither one is adhering to the constitutional procedures and limitations.  In Communist Russia you either supported "the party" or you didn't receive the benefits of being communist and be able to hold office.  Here, it has become the same thing.  You "support the party" not the constitution, or they will do what they can to destroy your attempts to get elected.

The fact that the "Party Platform" is inconsistent with the founding documents demonstrates the fact that it is only for show and they have their own agenda.  When you say you support the platform, you are really saying you are supporting the parties unspoken agenda.

I've followed the Legislature and the votes they took on NPV and believe most would be astonished at the way their Rep. Voted on this issue, I'm posting the Link to Article showing the votes by GOP Reps. in Favor of NPV, and hope it's allowed.

Thanks for the link.

You're more than welcome & I've been an advocate of removing the Incumbents 4 yrs. as the other side didn't raise the Debts of our Nation or State by themselves. God Bless You; Clair VAN Steenwyk

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

The best in books to make every conservative start thinking in new ways about America and the world being controlled by the Obama Administrations AND Republicans and Democrats.  Some surprises are in store for those who look!

Suppose the earth and its inhabitants exist in order to identify just what causes mankind continually to suffer so many troublesome problems and afflictions.

At present, most persons decide to act on whatever happens with their thoughts. But doing so puts them in competition with one of the creator's natural laws first identified by Richard Wetherill.

The answer is not complicated. People must stop basing their behavior on their personal thinking. Instead they have to act on the creator's thoughts, here being described in the English language as rational, honest, and morally right.

No longer should people reason from their concepts of good and evil, right and wrong, likes and dislikes, or whatever else comes to mind. Instead, mankind must think the creator's thoughts. That enables them successfully to do what is rational, honest, and morally right.

That may seem incredible until understood. But, consider that it is the way that mankind can escape the death penalty everybody has been paying since the days that people were created.

Join the survivors who have stopped their personal thinking. They now base their behavior on the creator's guiding thoughts to act in a way that is rational, honest, and morally right.
