In 2012 the NFL had an issue with Tim Tebow kneeling for each game to pray, they also had an issue with
Tebow wearing John 3:16 as part of his eyeblack to avoid glare and made him take it off.
In 2013 the NFL fined Brandon Marshall for wearing green cleats to raise awareness for people w ith mental health
In 2014 Robert Griffin III (RG3) entered a post-game press conference wearing a shirt that said "Know Jesus Know Peace"
but was forced to turn it inside out by an NFL uniform inspector before speaking at the podium.
In 2015 DeAngelo Williams was fined for wearing "Find the Cure" eye black for breast cancer awareness..
In 2015 William Gay was fined for wearing purple cleats to raise awareness for domestic violence.
(Not that the NFL has a domestic violence problem...)
In 2016 the NFL prevented the Dallas Cowboys from wearing a decal on their helmet in honor of 5 Dallas Police
officers killed in the line of duty.
In 2016 the NFL threatened to fine players who wanted to wear cleats to commemorate the 15th anniversary of 9/11.
So tell me again how the NFL supports free speech and expression all of a sudden...
It seem quite clear based on these fact that the NFL has taken a position against any action by NFL players
demonstrating RESPECT for any issue:  For God, social causes such as mental health, cancer, domestic violence,
for cops killed arbitrarily for being cops, for the Memory of 9/11...
But, they will allow demonstrations of DISRESPECT for our National Flag, our National Anthem, for America,
and for the American People, if it will help mollify a particular group and its supporters (such as BLM, and other
That is who and what the NFL has shown itself to be.

I have not and will not watch a bunch of spoiled overpaid crybabies disrespect this country

nope, not me either. Good thing for me I don't like football but I do love my country!!!

I haven't watched or attended any football since Joe Montana retired.

That is sure a reminder of just how hypocritical the NFL has been for a long time. I had forgotten most of those facts since I pay not attention to football except when they are beating up on my country. a brutal way to spend a Sunday.

Roger Goodell, and presumably most of his senior staff, are Progressives.  Some of the owners don't care for that, but they are outnumbered.  It seems that Progressivism is a religion for them, and it trumps their jobs and common sense.  Too bad the entire industry (all owners, all players, all staff, and all fans) will lose out over some misguided fools.

It also seems the Communist Manifesto is still vigorously being implemented, one American institution at a time.

I will be in church in the morning and again in the evening.

Refused to sucked into the worship of sports many years ago.  Love to play them but sitting and watching someone making millions of dollars a year playing a sport just never made sense to me.

Imagine what all that money could have done to help our nation had it not been wasted on entertainment?

Our Veterans sure could have use it for healthcare!   Thank you Veterans for your service to our Country and your sacrifices in protecting our freedom.  God Bless you all!

The fact that the NFL is EXEMPT from paying taxes and actually CHARGES our Military for the privilege of performing at NFL games makes me sick to my stomach. If anything needs to be drained from the swamp......the NFL is front and center! There is no way that I will watch a bunch of bitches dishonor our flag and military by attending or watching any NFL game! Screw them!

Vince, you've just got to start telling us how you REALLY feel about the NFL.  No more pussyfooting!!! ROFL

But spot on!

I tried to be as diplomatic as possible given the nature and severity of the circumstances.......LOL!

And you did it well.  I think the idea of hitting them in the pocketbook is, by far, the best one.  Take careful aim at the sponsors, who think ONLY of #s of people watching, and along with NOT watching, let each individual sponsor know that you're declining to use their products and convincing your friends to do likewise.

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.

The best in books to make every conservative start thinking in new ways about America and the world being controlled by the Obama Administrations AND Republicans and Democrats.  Some surprises are in store for those who look!

Suppose the earth and its inhabitants exist in order to identify just what causes mankind continually to suffer so many troublesome problems and afflictions.
