[Editor:  Here we have another perennial candidate.  Since she ran to replace Republican Rick Renzi who was pushed out for crimes committed, she has been a candidate for something, somewhere.  Now here she is challenging democrat--in-fact Martha McSally (R) in CD2 (mostly Tucson) who has never represented the Constitution or any other Republican value in that district in her two terms.  Advantage: Kirkpatrick.  Why vote for the fake when they can have the real thing.  Republicans lose that seat.]

TUCSON, Ariz. (AP) — Former U.S. Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick switched districts Friday as she entered a crowded Democratic primary race for the House seat held by two-term Republican Rep. Martha McSally in Arizona's competitive 2nd Congressional District.

Kirkpatrick moved to Tucson from Flagstaff since not running for re-election for a fourth term in the 1st Congressional District and running unsuccessfully for U.S. Senate last year, losing to Republican John McCain.

The 2nd District includes part of the Tucson area as well as Cochise County in the state's southeastern corner. The mostly rural 1st District includes Flagstaff, the Navajo Nation, most of Pinal County and a small part of metro Tucson.

Other Democratic candidates in the 2nd District include former state Reps. Bruce Wheeler and Matt Heinz, retired Pentagon official Mary Matiella, businessmen Charlie Verdin and Billy Kovacs, consultant William Foster and pilot Jeff Latas.

The Arizona Republican Party reacted to Kirkpatrick's entry in the race by tweeting that Kirkpatrick was a carpetbagger. "Today's #FridayFail goes to @Ann_Kirkpatrick because it doesn't matter where she runs -- she's still going to lose," the Twitter post said.  [That depends on whether the Rs run someone stronger. Dems like to pre-select their candidates in every race and they don't care about carpetbaggers. Rs just take whoever shows up.  Who do that have?  We have seen no one because in Arizona, we are so busy duking it out with the McCain/Graham/Lines machine, who bothers to actually take care of real business?]

Sorry, guys.  Another  404 (not found) with that "read more" link. :(

Sorry, Eric.  It just worked fine for us.  Do you need to clear your cache?

Had tried it 3X.  Just tried again and it worked.  Ah, well...

Oh no ... another "carpet bagger" following the Hillary motus operandi. If personal principles change for a Republican like the wind blows then they don't deserve to use that "R" behind their name. Principles matter unless you don't have any.

Were you referring to me, John?
