Did you see the report on Fox Business where a developer is building high and mid-rise buildings with condos that are just over 200 sq ft?  Tables become seats, beds become tables, sofas become beds.  This is touted to single professionals as the new wave in living close to work.  It's so liberating to live more spare lives and get rid of all you things, they crow!  Agenda 21 at its heart!

The police likely need a warrant to enter your backyard without your permission or without reasonable suspicion a crime has been committed.  I would keep my gate locked and put a big sign on the meter that says Do Not Remove and take a photo of it.  If you know anyone who is an attorney or is has legal background, they should write a letter to SRP and send it by certified mail, return receipt requested.  AND, send one yourself.

It's hard going against these deep pockets.  Ch 10 did an expose on smart meters a couple of weeks ago.  Call them and see if they will do another follow up story for you.  Get on social media and post the message below.  Call the "news"papers, even the small ones.  Have a camera ready should they try to enter your property.

Call the Arizona Corporation Commission and insist on speaking to Brenda Burns - she is sympathetic.  Then write another letter to them with return receipt requested.  You should show on the letter who you copied: Arizona Republic, Channel 10 News, ACC, SRP, etc.

Anyone else have a suggestion?  We NEED to find a pro bono attorney who will file an injunction against this kind of dictatorship.  Anyone know a retired or practicing attorney with a conscience who will take a case like this??

SRP called me last week and said they recognized that I didn't want a smart meter and would send a tech out to check my meter to make sure it was running correctly.  When the tech came out, he said he was there to change out my meter.  I told him 'that's not what I was told, I was told that my meter would be checked and if it didn't need replacing, it would be left. If it did need replacing, it would be with a newer non-smart meter.'  Anyway the tech left and I received a call the next day accusing me on not letting their tech do his job, to which I replied 'that's not true, I was told he was coming to do a check.'  Anyway, the final word is that I was lied to, they're going to send the police if necessary to force their way into my backyard and allow their tech to change the meter. The meter I presently have was placed only 4 years ago, I've had no problems with it, and I don't trust that SRP isn't going to replace mine with another type of meter that sends out signals like the smart meter, but just isn't called a 'smart' meter.  I am not a professional electrician, have no idea of the traits of this new meter, what kind and how strong the signals are that it puts out, etc.  I was lied to, being given no options, they won't even check my present meter which is the kind they can read from the street. Plus they're going to charge me $20 every two months to read the meter.  That sounds like a selective punitive rate hike to me.

What can I do about this?

Oh yes, I did tell their rep on the phone that I was going to call my Congressman.

Please contact your Representative and Senators and urge them to cosponsor and pass H.R. 1146.
