Unquestionably the most important issue in Arizona this year, this partisan Commission that is supposed to be a balanced Commission but is stacked with Progressives have their eye on turning Arizona into a Progressive state through gerrymandering the redistricting lines. The battle is on!
Use the information here to call/fax/email Governor Brewer as often as possible to tell her to force the Commission to fire the Chair who reportedly lied on her application claiming to be an Independent as is required but instead, it tied to the Democrat party in countless ways. Call/fax/email House Speaker Andy Tobin as often as possible, too.
PUT THE PRESSURE ON! KEEP THE PRESSURE ON! Or learn to live like California!!!

Comment by Arizona Freedom Alliance on November 19, 2012 at 12:58pm Some good news for our side. The Attorney's who brought the case agains the Independent Redistricting Commission have prevailed in their hearing where the IRC attorney's requested dismissal. The Navajo Nation that requested to intervene as a defendant was also denied inclusion. The Navajo's wanted to be a defendant along with the IRC so our side would have been fighting both entities in a 2 against 1 scenario!
Comment by Arizona Freedom Alliance on February 10, 2012 at 9:32am A proposed referral that would ask voters whether they wanted to eliminate the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission took its first step toward the November ballot Wednesday.
The Senate Government Reform Committee approved SCR1035 on a 4-2 party-line vote after its Democratic and Republican members rehashed the arguments that have raged for nearly a year over the independence and fairness of the IRC’s work.
Senate Majority Leader Andy Biggs, who sponsored the measure, said the IRC is riddled with procedural and technical problems, including lack of accountability for commissioners and a lack of oversight, as evidenced by the Arizona Supreme Court’s reversal of Chairwoman Colleen Mathis’ removal.
“My remedy, what I believe, is you’ve got to blow it up,” said Biggs, R-Gilbert.
Sen. Steve Gallardo, D-Phoenix, said the better route would be reforms, possibly to expand the size of the IRC and add more independent and rural members. Gallardo also suggested that anyone who has issues with the new maps could sue the IRC, as he unsuccessfully did after the last redistricting process.
But Biggs said he’s spoken with other lawmakers and is convinced that no workable reforms are possible.

Comment by Arizona Freedom Alliance on January 20, 2012 at 10:20pm Obama Administration “Rigging” US Census By Counting Illegal
Aliens
By Chuck Baldwin
January 20, 2012
The Barack Obama administration is quietly in the process of rigging
use of the US Census of 2010, which deliberately counted millions of
illegal aliens, for the purpose of restructuring the apportionment of
the US House of Representatives. Accordingly, as candidates for
Governor and Lieutenant Governor of one of the negatively affected
states (Montana), Mr. Bob Fanning and I have joined with several
others in becoming amici curiae in a pending federal lawsuit brought
by the State of Louisiana against the US Secretary of Commerce, et
al., which was filed January, 13, 2012 in the United States Supreme
Court.
What has happened is, the US Census Bureau erroneously claims that it
“‘is required by the U.S. Constitution count everyone living in
this country, regardless of immigration or citizenship status.’”
Accordingly, they have counted millions of illegal aliens in the 2010
Census and are using those figures to apportion the US House of
Representatives. If this egregious misinterpretation of the US
Constitution is allowed to stand, five states (Louisiana, Missouri,
Montana, North Carolina, and Ohio) will lose representation in the US
Congress to which they are lawfully entitled, while three states
(California, Texas, and Florida) will be awarded additional
representation in the US Congress to which they are not lawfully
entitled. And, of course, this will also directly impact the makeup of
the Electoral College, which ultimately elects the President of the
United States.
Of course, this manipulation of the 2010 US Census also impacts the
election of the US President, as those states that are granted more
seats in the US Congress are also granted more votes in the Electoral
College as the Electoral College is composed of a “Number of
Electors, equal to the whole Number of Senators and Representatives to
which the State may be entitled in the Congress. . . .” (Article.
II. Section. I. Clause. 2. US Constitution). And, as everyone knows,
under the US Constitution, it is the Electoral College that ultimately
elects the President of the United States. Thus, the states of
Louisiana, Missouri, Montana, North Carolina, and Ohio, will be
unjustly denied their lawful votes in the Electoral College, while
California, Texas, and Florida, are being unjustly granted unlawful
votes in the Electoral College. Would it not be extraordinary if the
margin by which President Obama is re-elected in the Electoral College
would be provided by the manipulation of the census data under his
control? Again, this would be an outrage!

Comment by Arizona Freedom Alliance on January 18, 2012 at 10:33pm On split vote, panel OKs new AZ political maps
PHOENIX - The Independent Redistricting Commission gave final approval Tuesday to the maps that will govern Arizona politics for the coming decade - maps the two Republicans on the panel say are rigged to favor Democrats.
The 3-2 votes came after Colleen Mathis, a registered political independent who chairs the panel, sided with the two Democrats. Republican Richard Stertz said that was no surprise, all but saying Mathis was a Democratic plant.
Scott Freeman, the other Republican on the panel, charged the adopted maps were actually drawn by Democratic outsiders and spoon-fed to the commission. He said the last nine months of hearings were essentially a sham "results-oriented process." Arizona Daily Star

In case you haven't heard, the commission voted 3 to 2, as usual, to approve the Legislative and Congressional maps and to send them to the DOJ. The Republican Commissioners did a great job of "setting the record straight" on how biased and overt the commission has been calling the maps the "Democrat Dream Maps". They also noted that the commission did NOT have to send the maps to the DOJ for approval. They could have voted to send them directly to a DC court and
so allow testimony on the maps but of course that did not happen.
I don't believe the DOJ will reject these maps as they are the Democrat dream. That means we will be using the new lines for the 2012 elections. Hopefully, the Republicans are preparing to file suit as
soon as the maps are approved. Watch the Texas Supreme Court case on their redistricting gerrymandering by Democrat activist judges. The outcome of that case is important for us. I have attached the article on this pending case.
I want to thank everyone of you for working so hard on this. We have fought the good fight and now it is up to a court challenge.
