Its surprising how much you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit
[Editor: We think the real problem is that the Obamacare should be REPEALED in total. Before they do that, House, Senate and President must collaborate with free markets health insurance providers to take over health insurance as was the original state. Remember, back in the late 1940's or early 1950's, government had wage controls on the books. Employers could not give their workers salary increases. So business devised a way around that - pay employees' health insurance as a way to increase their take home pay. As with anything government gets involved with, it becomes a disaster. Please, someone reading this, show us where in the Constitution it gives government the right or authority to engage in business enterprises. So "repealing and replacing Obamacare" is just a magic trick to fool the citizens into thinking this promise is being kept. It's just being re-arranged! There is not even a whisper of conversation about getting government OUT of the health insurance business!]
It was inevitable that this would happen, but we figured it would take a little longer.
Speaker Paul Ryan’s so-called Obamacare “repeal and replace” bill is a complete sellout of President Trump’s campaign promise to rid the country and the economy of the disaster of Obamacare, but the President is already being suckered into endorsing it.
Indeed, President Trump’s White House spokesman, Sean Spicer, falsely stated yesterday that the healthcare bill from House Speaker Paul Ryan represents what will eventually be a full repeal of Obamacare.
As our friend Matthew Boyle writing for Breitbart pointed-out, the bill is more like Obamacare 2.0 because the bill keeps in place the Obamacare requirements that insurers allow for coverage of pre-existing conditions and allows children to stay on their parents’ health care until they’re 26-years-old. It shifts the individual mandate from being a tax paid to the government to a penalty paid to insurance companies, does not even address the Medicaid issue in states effectively, helps illegal aliens access healthcare in the system, and it does not allow for purchasing of insurance across state lines as Republicans have promised for years—among many, many other problems.
And among those among many, many problems one of the most egregious aspects of the bill is the subsidy for illegal aliens that will be paid for by the hardworking American citizens who elected President Trump.
As our friend Katie McHugh writing for Breitbart documented, Ryan’s bill actually strips out even Obamacare’s weak protections preventing illegal aliens from signing up for health care meant for citizens.
Obamacare has no meaningful, robust protections in place against illegal aliens claiming health care. The law claimed to exclude illegals, but in practice, made no effort to verify that the people applying for health care were citizens. Now, Republicans are about to take that problem and make it much worse by gutting enforcement noted our friend Daniel Horowitz.

"Anything the government can give you, they can take away."
The Republican party has been claiming that since they don't have the 60 votes in the Senate to approve of this Obamacare-lite legislation. That has always been their excuse, so how will they get 8 Demon-crats to their side? Never. Nothing will get through to the President's desk ... UNLESS.. they give into the demon-crats and their "bipartisanship" dictates. On Page 62 of this republican written proposal ... it still has a PENALTY CHARGE for not having this "insurance". It is a 30% INCREASE in premiums if you go without that "insurance" for more than 61 days !!!!! So if you couldn't afford it .. you get blindsided by this. So much for the more "affordable" republican brand idea. I smell the elephant dung all over again. This does nothing to reign in government costs, because subsidies are still needed to make it "affordable" ... and are paid to the "insurance companies not the individuals. How about competition to lower costs??? Get the government out of "insurance" ... PERIOD.
I recall after listening to all the high praise for that first speech, that my thought was "there was nothing about where all the monies will come from?" The question is another huge brontosaurus in the living room!
Senator Rand Paul and Representative Jim Jordan are introducing identical bill to "repeal," not "repeal and replace" Obamacare. We need to let the free enterprise system work on our behalf and get the government out of the business of healthcare. Where in the Constitution is the fedgov authorized to control healthcare?
Surprise, Surprise, Surprise, the GOP isn't on our side on this or the Wall which they put in the budget once again knowing they'd need 50 Votes and the they'll COMPROMISE the entire thing away and we'll end up with the GANG OF EIGHT Comprehensive Immigration Reform, it's really Time to DRAIN THE SEPTIC TANK IN DC and stop fooling around trying to get along with the INCUMBENTS who only care about Power no matter what side of the Aisle they're on. God Bless You All; Clair VAN Steenwyk
I have been saying and I still believe Ryan, McCain, Flake and Graham must be sidelined and isolated. Remove them all from every committee and let them sit doing nothing till the next election we can remove them. They all hate Trump and are working from inside in positions of great authority to defeat his agenda, which is our agenda, and that can not be allowed to continue.
The world is still on its axis because we expected this from Ryan. I noted today on Twitter that Paul Nehlen is probably going to run again in 2018 and this time, he's likely to win people will be so fed up with Ryan. Ryan does bring home the bacon for Janesville, tho. I totally agree with others who say REPEAL REPEAL REPEAL is the only way to go. Repair & amend is not going to be any different. Jim DeMint just was on Fox Biz and he is not happy with what they are doing. I think I heard him say they had to repeal repeal as promised.
Jasper Goat: Paul Nehlen ran before & he didn't win the position. IMO, Paul Nehlen, was a much better candidate than Paul Ryan. I hope that the people will have learned their lesson & will vote for Paul Nehlen. Yes, they should REPEAL first. Otherwise, they are going to end up with a healthcare program that is not acceptable for most people. I DO NOT like the idea that many benefits will be handed over to the illegal aliens & despite calling & writing these Repubs who do not seem to be thinking straight, what else can one do? I have often wondered why we were getting into healthcare when BHO came into office. I realize it's a nice idea that everyone is eligible for healthcare; however, we are not a Socialist nation despite what our ex-president thought that we were.
