Watching the Elections

This is the place for the latest news on all Elections.  Please feel free to post any VERIFIABLE information you get that would help to inform our electorate.  Beware of what you get off the internet unless it is from a trusted source.  The Dems and Soros crowd are posting false info and photos and videos trying to make the conservatives buy into false premises to look foolish.  Very important.  Example: the photoshopped photo with the Obama's putting their hands on they RIGHT side during the Pledge!

Blessed are those that can give without remembering, And take without forgetting.

One day a florist went to a barber named Norma for a haircut. After the cut, he asked about his bill, and the barber replied, 'I cannot accept money from you, I'm doing community service this week.' The florist was pleased and left the shop. When the barber went to open her shop the next morning, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen roses waiting for her at the door.

Later, a cop comes in for a haircut, and when he tries to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I cannot accept money from you , I'm doing community service this week.' The cop was happy and left the shop. The next morning when the barber went to open up, there was a 'thank you' card and a dozen donuts waiting for her at the door.

Then a Congressman came in for a haircut, and when he went to pay his bill, the barber again replied, 'I can not accept money from you. I'm doing community service this week.' The Congressman was very happy and left the shop. The next morning, when the barber went to open up, there were a dozen Congressmen lined up waiting for a free haircut.

And that, my friends, illustrates the fundamental difference between the citizens of our country and the politicians who run it.  BOTH POLITICIANS AND DIAPERS NEED TO BE CHANGED OFTEN AND FOR THE SAME REASON!  AND WHY WE NEED TO SPREAD THE WORD THAT WE NEED TO INFORM VOTERS TO VOTE SMART!

@Karen's remarks from the Conventions of States page:   you don't know me or what I have done.  I'm not a candidate for anything.  I'm just a citizen who tries very hard to look closely at candidates and then I form an opinion.  You probably do the same.  That is what I've done with this candidate.  And this has nothing to do with the Convention of States page so I have moved my response here, to the proper page.

BREWER is pushing AGAIN for the Obama CARE health care exhanges...putting 'her lobbyist' out there to encourage some members to vote for the exchanges.  PLEASE call:  Nancy Barto, Adam Driggs, John McComish, Michele Reagan and Bob Worsely in the Senate.  Heather Carter, Bob Robson and Andy Tobin (and anyone else YOU know is 'soft' on Brewer) TODAY AND SAY NO.

Elections have consequences.  Message from my buddy active in GOP: some guy named Ludders - I've heard that name before in negative terms, is sitting in the Chairman's office running the AZ republican party.  The message said he is deciding who gets access to the Republican party and who doesn't and it looks like if you were not a supporter of R. Graham you are toast.  Can anyone verify that?

I read Wm T Smith's comment on the Action Alerts page.  It hit me like the elephant in the room.  It explains why all those awful posts online and why every day my inbox fills up with Robert Graham endorsements.  I keep wondering why this man keeps getting all those endorsements.  It did not make sense to me, it really has creeped me out, to get all of that.  Why is this unpaid job so important?  WTS hits it home on the alerts page - corruption called "consultants". This party doesn't below to the McCain crowd.  Not the tea party. Certainly not to the people.  It is controlled by those up and coming McCain wanna be's.  Same corruption, new face.  I'm going to be sick.

SHIELD does it again.  Links to everything so it takes time to read if you click all of them.  It's really good the way everything is proven through those links.

A quick read.  but interesting.

RE: Robert Graham - Can you say "caricature," ladies and gentlemen? This is all RG has. The carefully scripted, shallow words and works of others. And he hasn't broken free from it in the two years he's been running. Every time I hear him speak, his donations amount goes up.  Last night, it was $26 million.  I was waiting for him to admit it's Kirk Adams and it's about half that.  Waiting.

I honestly believe Doug is going to win. The for-profit class will not be pleased with that, but Doug is eminently capable of putting them in their place. LD23, if I'm right, you folks are in for a hell of a two-year journey. Clear your calendars and enjoy it.

nice to know he gave no credit to the BOOTS on the GROUND that walked neighborhoods and put up signs in opposition to 204 and doubt it really HELPED to have the $$$ to have the signs....but I know we did our own 'propositions' flyers starting in September against 121 and 204 with local donations.  just saying....

Seeing both AZGOP candidates together was an interesting experience.  They are so different.  Graham is energetic but he talks in circles and didn't answer the questions.  Little is more low-key but answered the questions completely and in a direct manner.  One of the things that Graham said that caught my attention was that he took full responsibility for defeating Propositions 204 (sales tax) and 121 (open primary) but Little mentioned a Magellan report on the statistics.  so I looked that up when I got home.  Here's a copy/paste from that site:

Magellan Strategies Arizona General Election Auto Survey, April 30th-May

2nd, 2012

Sample: 909

Margin of Error: 3.25%

See page 23.

"In 2010, Arizona voters approved a temporary one-cent sales tax

increase to help balance the state budget and pay for government

programs. The sales tax increase is scheduled to expire in 2013, but a

proposal is being discussed to make the one-cent sales tax increase

permanent. Do you favor or oppose making the one-cent sales tax increase

FAVOR: 37.1% (strongly 26%, somewhat 11.1%)

OPPOSE: 55.3% (strongly 41.6%, somewhat 13.7%)

That proposition never had any support so whatever money Graham put in to that didn't not effect anything.  Makes me think it was the same for Prop 121 because the Democrats were advising a NO vote on that one.  Republicans were too smart to vote for that.  There were not enough independents to pass that, either.  But the audience lapped it up.
