The election is over, the canvas is submitted and the results, while close, are final. I will not be asking for a recount. I want to sincerely thank everyone who volunteered, supported, and voted for me.
This race was never about whether I felt Helen Purcell was still capable of doing the job, but rather the belief that a fresh pair of eyes would be better suited in this very important, yet very unnoticed office. It is clear that voters wanted both experience and new ideas.
Now, I am not one to take my ball and go home. I feel that I have some viable ideas that still need to be implemented. I will continue to press for these changes through the legislature and the Recorder's office in whatever role I am asked to, even if it is just as a constituent.
We have less than 60 days until the general election and must come together to ensure we keep the office in the capable hands of the hardest working and classiest County Recorder Maricopa has ever had. Please join me in supporting the reelection of Helen Purcell.
