Phoenix, AZ (Maricopa County)— Tristan Manos sharing historical quotes on American Citizenship & Immigration:

1st President George Washington wrote

"[As] to emigration, there is no need of extra encouragement: [immigrants] retain the language, habits & principles (good or bad) which they bring with them; whereas, by an intermixture with our people, they, or their descendants, get assimilated to our customs, manners and laws: in a word, soon become one people."

(See HERE 11/15/1794)

James Iredell
, appointed by George Washington to 1st U.S. Supreme Court, wrote:

"Aliens coming [here] must, or ought to know, this being an independent nation, it has all the rights concerning removal of aliens which belong by the law of nations to any other; that while he remains in the country [as] an alien, he can claim no other privilege than such as an alien is entitled to; and consequently, whatever risk he may incur in that capacity, is incurred voluntarily, with the hope that in due time, by his unexceptionable conduct, he may become a citizen of the United States."

(See HERE 4/11/1799)

2nd President John Adams wrote:

"There is one principle which pervades all the institutions of this country, which must always operate as an obstacle to the granting of favors to newcomers. This is a land, not of privileges, but of equal rights. Privileges are granted by European sovereigns to particular classes of individuals, for purposes of general policy; but the general impression here is that privileges granted to one denomination of people, can very seldom be discriminated from erosions of the rights of others. Emigrants coming here, are not to expect favors from the governments. They are to expect, if they choose to become citizens, equal rights with those of the natives of the country. To one thing they must make up their minds, or, they will be disappointed in every expectation of happiness as Americans. They must cast off the European [substitute on a person-to-person, case-by-case basis, wherever they may be from] skin, never to resume it." (Manos adds: That's more than "assimilation." It's about "Americanization.")

3rd President Thomas Jefferson wrote

"Born in other countries, yet believing you could be happier in this, our laws acknowledge, as they should do, your right to join us in society, conforming, as I doubt not you will do, to our established rules. That these rules shall be as equal as prudential considerations will admit, will certainly be the aim of our legislatures, general & particular."

Where there are privileged classes, there is inequality of opportunity and apartheid.

England is a land of privileged classes ........ Royalty is a privileged class.   The time of Kings and Queens is over.

Powerful men. We can see just how far popular media has brought us from principles of sovereign governments, responsible ones for that matter. These are part of the frame of nationalism, with trade being another key factor. The requirements for one to immigrate to the US must be VERY high, until every American has a job. Then and only then, can we bring low skill workers in.

I don't believe letting in anyone but citizens from Europe, with them having western values as we do. Anywhere else is bringing in populations that will reach their hands out far, and DEMAND "Give me money!", without any form of work imbursement. They will see how hard they actually will have to work, and choose to sit on their hands, refusing to compete, seeing the hard working American in stride.

Immigration is something that we must do ONLY when it benefits us; it is NOT charitable in purpose, and not a privilege to the ones that make it, it is an expectation to the men and women to help the American system, and for them to contribute to it.

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
Thomas Jefferson

The best in books to make every conservative start thinking in new ways about America and the world being controlled by the Obama Administrations AND Republicans and Democrats.  Some surprises are in store for those who look!

Suppose the earth and its inhabitants exist in order to identify just what causes mankind continually to suffer so many troublesome problems and afflictions.
