Its surprising how much you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit
Ran across this business article on Insys. These are the people that make Fentanyl, the most powerful of opiates.
This article give some in depth information about how they pushed the drug, paid off doctors and other things you may want to know about. Especially if you have any concern with the opioid problem we have now.
Keep in mind that the CMA (Canadian Medical Association) stated that their investigations into opioid abuse shows that 80% of these people were medically dependent, prior to addiction. In other words the doctors got them addicted.
Many pharmaceutical drug makers are developing endocannabinoid based drugs. Making synthetic versions of what's in Cannabis. In 1985 'Marinol' was approved by the FDA for cancer nausea and contains synthetic THC. Documents from the FDA shows Marinol directly related to 4 deaths in 4 decades.
They also coughed up 1/2 million against [Prop] 205, and have since marketed a 'marijuana substitute' which I know little at this time. But it's been FDA approved. Here is a quick view of it...
This is posted on the Opinions page and may or may not reflect the opinion of AFA.
I distrust *ANYTHING* which the drug giants peddle. As well, often the FDA and it's departments are regularly run by people who have been employees of drug companies. Setup? You betchum.
My spousal unit worked in that industry, so I have some insight.
Maybe another link may cement in your distrust in our pharma companies...
I would think anyone here would know when they read it what AFA position on it would be.
This is what happens when a government and private partnership happen, and ... they control the health care industry by a single payer system! Let the free-market competition work.
