[Editor: K Thomas posted a comment in this morning's Briefs about an article that ran that is beating up on Marianne Ferrari, one of our very intelligent and astute members, for taking up the project to unseat Jonathan Lines.  NO ONE else had the courage to do that!  She has generous support across the state and little Johnny Lines is worried.  So what does this gaggle of McCain sycophants do?  Attack the messenger, of course.  It's been the way the guilty have operated since the dark ages!  True Constitutional conservatives (we sort of hate to use the word "conservative" since McCain and Flake have pulled a Democrat tactic of co-opting language and changing its meaning) do not want any more Obama Lite people involved with the Republican party.  So they have taken the best step available to them and we sincerely hope they are successful.  If they aren't, the Republican party in Arizona is lost for years to come, has been lost for years past.  There comes a point of no return and there is no good return with the current "leadership."  It is Lines, Graham, Shane Wikfors and all those who think like tabloid trash who are going after a fine upstanding woman for her courage to do what none of them will do.  It's all they understand.  Honor or integrity is not in their playbook.  Keep that in mind when you read what they wrote, exposing themselves as the worst kind of bigots.  It is these people who give the Republican party a bad name.  See a thoughtful get-to-the-point  response at the end.  It was posted in Briefs this morning.]

Dear fellow conservative Republican,
 
Last week, Sonoran Alliance presented the “starting lineup” of malcontents and saboteurs who have been working overtime in an effort to overturn the results of a free and open election.
 
In some ways, the leader of this not-so-merry band of misfits is among the most intriguing. Relatively unknown and unimpressive in her past activities as a Republican PC, Marianne Ferrari has deemed herself the ringleader of this circus. But, as Frosty’s Fake News might say, “lots of people” are asking who she is, and what she is really trying to accomplish.
 
According to readily available public information, Ferrari is a native New Yorker who attended the Northwestern University journalism school. Throughout much of her career as a writer and publisher, she found a specialized niche: travel guides for gay and lesbian tourists and attacking the conservative agenda. 
 
Now, everyone has a right to make a living, and if Ms. Ferrari is passionate about gay and lesbian travel and liberal ideals, I wish her nothing but the best in finding happiness.
 
But I can’t help but wonder: why would a gay and lesbian travel expert from New York take such interest in recalling a successful chairman of the Arizona Republican Party? [That's easy: because Lines is NOT successful in anything but lying, cheating and stealing votes from State Committeemen.  Is that his idea of success?]
 
Could it be because the party has stood firmly behind President Donald Trump’s decision to reverse Barack Obama’s order to allow transgender soldiers in the United States Armed Services?
 
Or perhaps it is because Chairman Jonathan Lines is a longtime advocate for traditional marriage?
 
We’ll never know the true reasoning behind Ms. Ferrari’s destructive activities. What we do know is that, according to her, she doesn’t really have a reason. As reported earlier this week, Ms. Ferrari told the Yellow Sheet Report: “We need no cause. We don’t need anything but to vote.”
 
So here’s what we know about this mysterious New York native who has come to Arizona in an attempt to overthrow our Chairman:
 

• Her passion and livelihood is in gay and lesbian travel guides
• She seems offended by the AZ GOP’s support for President Trump’s ban on transgender men/women serving in the armed forces.
• She opposes a chairman who is steadfast in his support for traditional marriage
• The reason she gives for embarking on this quixotic quest is provably false.
• By her own admission, she does not believe she needs a reason to initiate a recall. [it's clear these people never read the AZGOP Bylaws printed in English but not in Moron]

 
So there she is, the face of the recall effort. State Committee members will have to decide: is this who you want to stand publicly with?  [And we are VERY PROUD to stand right beside her! Character & courage vs tabloid trash.  Easy decision.]

[It is so embarrassing to know these people walk the earth!  Clearly, those engaged in removing Lines are making them very nervous and are over the target.  They are concerned that Ferrari is holding up a t-shirt?  Is that the best they've got?  Pathetic.]

Karen Thomas, State Committeewoman: Some SC and perhaps others received an e-mail from a Carl Grande. Although some think that “Carl Grande” is a figment of someone’s imagination, I would like to reply to him/her/it/them. Mr. Grande concerning your recent e-mail, let me see if I’m reading you correctly. You think because Marianne Ferrari is a lesbian that she must be for gays in the military and for same sex marriage. Do I have that right? Or, oh my goodness, maybe you’re bothered because she’s from NEW YORK! or attended Northwestern University!! WOW that’s all really serious stuff! Thank you for telling us. And, then you accuse her of “attacking the conservative agenda”. Do you assume that simply because she’s gay? I just want to be really clear on all of this in case someone asks me about it. Or, maybe she’s trying to save the conservative agenda. Have you ever thought of that? Do you know Marianne, Mr. Grande? Have you talked with her about all of this?      Lines a successful chairman? If we felt he is doing his job, so many of us in this “merry band of misfits” wouldn’t be working to remove him. And, geez, it’s one thing to be called deplorables by Hillary but now to be called “malcontents and saboteurs” by you, a Republican! BTW, Mr. Grande, if you knew the bylaws for removing an officer, you would know that it states that no cause is required. We only need to vote. Look it up! But if you’ve been reading postings on Briefs and Arizona Freedom Alliance, you would know there are a sufficient reasons for the chairman to be removed.

     And, one last thing, there is no Carl Grande registered with the MC Elections Dept. And, for those reading Sonoran Alliance, there is no Rangel Solamente registered either. Is it possible that both are, or were, on the AZGOP payroll? And who owns Sonoran Alliance anyway? I think we would all like to know. Mr. Grande and Mr. Solamente please answer these questions. STAND UP AND BE COUNTED – Stop being cowards. -- Inquiring minds want to know!

From my dealings with Marianne, all I can tell you is she likes to get answers.  She came into my office and we chatted for about an hour when I was running for office.  I've been in meetings with her since then on numerous occasions.  She is civil, and asks good questions.  She seeks knowledge in regards to those in positions of power and those seeking it.  She is a Constitutionalist.  If my memory serves me correctly, that is how she described herself, and I have seen absolutely nothing that would make me think she is anything other than a Constitutionalist.

Oh, my goodness.  I thought the Republicans were hateful to Barry Goldwater, not that I am equating this to a presidential run. But, my heavens, this is a local race.  I do so hope Mr. Lines does not count on a rescue from the RNC.  They would never get involved with this without proven criminality.  Even then, there was barely a ripple when Mr. R. Pullen was laundering money from the RNC.  Ms. Ferrari reminds me of the fighters back in the day who refused to be pushed around.  Oh, how wonderful it is to see such spunk again.  Does one suppose that some of that might rub off on any of those already in Congress?  No, I do not think so.  Let's keep her as our treasure.  I do agree that if there are any fence sitters still, they will fall her way.  Keep the faith, Ms. Ferrari.  The good people are with you.

Sonoran Alliance needs to focus its attention on something more suited to its liberal nature, like pushing for segregated dorms at the U of A, or something just as stupid. As I see already stated, Marianne Ferrari is definitely a True Patriot in the truest sense of the word.  She loves this Country, the people, and truth.  She, like so many of us PCs (of which I am a 2nd Vice Chair) as well as a facilitator of one of the few remaining Tea Party Activists around, are totally fed up with being led around by the nose by the likes of CRABS, (Corrupt Republican Asshole BullShitters-my new name for them), could also be SCABS, SNAKES, and a few others because don't want to tarnish the Rhino who is a strong courageous animal and I really don't like it being used to describe bad corrupt Republicans who aren't really republicans but Liberals so they're not even Conservatives.  Marianne is a true Conservative with enough guts to go digging into the corruption of the so called 'election' at the State Committeemen's meeting.  The whole meeting was a disaster from the get go.  They tried to completely disenfranchise an entire LD and not let them vote because they wanted Lines to win and in the end his so called 'win' was questionable.  

Think it's interesting that Lines was the former Treasurer of the Arizona RNC and a good friend of Robert Graham whom I used to admire and respect.  Guess he wanted to take Rance Priebus spot as National Chair of the RNC so badly he'd do anything to get it and he didn't.  Between Lines and Matthew Kinney (good friend of Lines and Graham) are all in the same cage with John McCain and Flake.  They all fall under his wings broken as they are.  

I stand completely with Marianne and congratulate her for taking this on and doing the research knowing full well what she was in for when she started this research into the corruption and corrupt election for new State Chair.  I strongly commend her.  I've known Marianne for the better part of 10 years working with her on a tea party started years ago.  She's honest, a truth seeker, and wouldn't hurt a fly.  She's passionate and will do what it takes and stand by what her decisions are and finishing the job.  

What's interesting the link posted about the Gay Article from Chicago doesn't even have a link 'entertainment' at least none I could find.  Do you have a phobia about gays and lesbians - maybe cause you are one and don't want to admit it.  you are condemning this woman and judging her about her patriotism of our Country because she is gay?  You ought to be ashamed of yourself.  Don't you read in the Bible, judge not lest ye be judged.  You sound like a liberal for liberals love to label people, name call, and judge people for whatever reason.  

As for reasons to recall Lines, there are many and if you have been reading the briefs at all you would know these reasons were made known a while ago.  I believe there are enough State Committeeman that will vote to recall Lines if they actually have a conscious and are a true Patriot and believe in truth and facts.  These people have an agenda and it isn't for the good of the party nor is it for the good of the people.  It is for only one good (?) and that is for their pockets and themselves.  he may talk a good line but when it comes right down to it, it's all about him and how does it all benefit him and Matt.  

As for the Sonoran Alliance - there was a time i thought this was a Conservative publication.  I found out I was wrong.  it is not a publication out for truth but a publication / blog out for itself, with a political agenda, and it is a left agenda, not a Conservative agenda.  It loves to twist things.  I pay no attention any longer.  it's worthless.  Sounds like your name 'Grande' is short for 'grandiose' thinking you are one especially with Carl not being registered with the MCE Dept.  It is a fake name just like in Fake news.  you apparently get paid to spread lies and discredit people for your purpose and the purpose of those paying you - the McCain machine possibly?????

All PCs and State Committeemen please pay attention to Marianne and what she has found to be a corrupt system in our State Committeemen Meetings and the local Az RNC.  She's a great researcher and has done her due diligence.  Her purpose is to help President Trump in Draining the Swamp on the local level here in Arizona.  We need your help with this.  See the truth in what she has found and let's help Drain the Swamp here locally in Arizona!

Let's give some credit to AFA for getting out this info.  They made it possible for Marianne to post her writings directly on this site without, I think, being edited.  I read every word and I wouldn't know all I know now about this but for AFA.  Marianne has done a masterful job of getting to this point. I hope she's getting some help.  I hope she considers the tremendous impact she is making for republicans in AZ.  If she wasn't, these "trash tabloids" wouldn't be after her.  It's a badge of courage for her and she's in excellent company. They have indulged in "political destruction" to a lot of great conservatives who do the hard work of saving the state and the Republic.

I have joined the project in the early month of June to unseat Jonathan Lines. If people want to call us “misfits” - fine with me. The problems with the AZ state republican party are not just due to Graham and Lines. NO it goes back at least ten years. In 2008 an AZGOP election meeting had questionable results. Attempts to audit the election process – denied. Prior to Graham and prior to his predecessor Tom Morrissey there was former AZGOP Treasurer Randy Pullen’s sloppy fiscal management of federal campaign records. Pullen is or was a licensed CPA (license # 3371-E, active since 10/26/1981) but those pesky generally accepted accounting practices and US Federal regulations have slipped both his mind and journal entries. A $50,000 check gets lost in the Pullen books. Then later as a former .AZGOP Chairman, Randy Pullen shows off his retractable John McCain banner at the 2008 Republican National Convention in St. Paul, Minnesota, Sept. 1, 2008.

Yes the Washington D.C. Swamp has drained all the way West to the AZGOP HQ in Arizona and it started many years ago.

We have taken the best step available and I sincerely hope we are successful. If we are not, the Republican party in Arizona will be lost for years to come. It has been lost for years past. The AZGOP does not belong to the establishment or the elites or the AZGOP elected officers or the state commitment/women or the Precinct Committeemen/women. It belongs to the registered Republican voters. I am a PC elected by my GOP voting neighbors. I am a State Committeeman elected by my fellow PCs. The foolishness and corruption we now face as a party is largely supported by proxies.  When anyone can go to their neighbor(s) and tell them:  First, you don't have to do anything, but let me register you to vote as a Republican, (I don't care if you vote or not - here's the registration form...), and second, sign this proxy form and I will take care of everything else.  You don't have to attend anything or do a thing, you don't even have to vote, I will take care of everything...thanks for doing this for me!

Now, don't try and tell me that the above scenario does not happen!  Just don't go there!

Anybody with a lick of common sense knows full well that when someone shows up with 140 proxy name tags around their neck that hanky-panky is occurring.  The  intended purpose of a proxy, and the argument used to support proxies is that "...maybe some one just can't get there for some reason..."

The key word in this quote is "...one..."  I could accept that "one" ACTIVE member might or could not show up, but 140? How utterly ridiculous.  Give me a break!  Anyone that believes this intentionally fabricated and manipulative nonsense needs to look up the words integrity or honesty in their dictionary.  They cannot, at least they should not, sleep well.  Even if they are lying to themselves along with attempting to manipulate our elections.

Sen. McCain, even with his newly discovered brain tumor, showed up in congress to vote against the people with his ObamaCare repeal vote (after promising to repeal it for years).  No proxies there!  We should not have any proxies at the state level either.

They, proxies, are nothing more than a tool to manipulate elections, and should be done away with.
