The Dots Connected ... Justice Kennedy

     Sitting back and thinking about all the disruptions in Washington DC this week revolving around a baseball field, I was struck as to why … why … is the national discourse so pervasive against anything Republican and conservative?  

     Forward thinking led me to a very little talked about premise … that Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy … is said to retire this summer and the ramifications that would result in Trump appointing a second Supreme Court Justice. Clearly the Demoncrats, the progressives, those who favor socialism, and the leftists would have so much to lose by that, for Kennedy is considered a moderate liberal on many issues, and on others a cross between the two factions on the bench. 

     Remember in 1992, it was Kennedy who joined justices O'Connor and David Souter to form the troika (a Russian vehicle pulled by a team of 3 horses) who delivered the plurality opinion in the case of Planned Parenthood v. Casey which re-affirmed in principle of the Roe v. Wade ruling by the court.

     Kennedy also cast the deciding vote in Boumediene v. Bush, holding that noncitizens detained at Guantanamo Bay had the right to seek habeas corpus review of their detainment in a federal court, striking down section 7 of the Military Commissions Act which effectively suspended the writ of habeas corpus for the detainees at Guantanamo.

     In the case of the Boy Scouts of America v. Dale, he voted to say that the Boy Scouts of America was free to express its anti-gay views by firing a scoutmaster who it had found out was gay. For that Kennedy was not yet prepared to give sexual orientation a protected status. He has supported conservatism when he voted to strike down every affirmative action program that has been reviewed by the Court during his tenure. So what is next?  

     What remains for these deceiving Demoncrats is that they have been humiliated in the arena of ideas, first when they lost the election to Trump, and now they’d loose a 2nd Supreme Court Justice to Trump, oh my ! Their utopian dreamland is going under the seas of a domestic resurgence for an American lawfulness. That is foreign to those who supported Obama, Hillary, Biden, Kane, and yes the global warming advocate Al Gore, and for that, they hate.

     Let us also remember that the 9th District Federal Court in San Francisco is one of the most overturned federal courts in the land and whose cases would land in the Supreme Court for final adjudication all of which would favor the Trump administration without a justice Kennedy present today.

His statement “I think fiction is very important because it gets us into the mind of a person” says all we need to know about a “fake investigation” of Trump in the media, and in the crop circles within higher education. It’s all a fiction novel that Stephen King would write for public consumption …. and dollars. Maybe there really is no “leaker of information” but only an author of a fiction novel with more than one co-writer. Who knows about that? Not the FBI, nor a special counsel crony against anything Trump.

This we do know, time is ticking away for the current Supreme Court which will be on recess until the first Monday in October when a new session starts. By then we will know the Kennedy decision, and if … IF … justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg has made it through another “summer of recovery” that Obama never delivered on, but Trump has.

Ruth Bader Ginsburg has had pancreatic cancer, which is one of the deadliest known, and made the decision to stay on the Court for a Hillary replacement … but now that will never happen. Ginsberg lost that bet with Hillary thanks to America's desire for a real change, and at 84 “she’s running out of gas”. 

     In conclusion there WILL BE just another victory lap for Trump to use, and most likely it will be the Trump Card placed on the table before a defeated Demoncrat  party once again. Now only if the Republicans would stand united to trap and jail those scavenger alligators in the DC swampland on the Potomac River.

As the song goes “celebrate, celebrate, dance to the music”.

Individuals make choices, whereas groups make them for individuals. It's all still about the mindset of a choice, we do it when we buy a car, go to a college, go shopping, by a certain home, pick a "friend", or pick a "wife" when they pick us also. It is our choice of compatibility ... our personal choice ... and a personal responsibility for that choice. Government should not be a part of that choice, but by special inclusions make government the decision maker of "righteousness" ... which is a false "truth". Being with the dying is a special time which we all grow from, like it or not, its about their beyond times, not our present.

As I said elsewhere John, you and I were brought up differently.  Government HAD to step in because what thee and me call our "rights" were not being accorded to those with very different upbringings, cells and hormones.  God must have wanted it so since there have been gays and lesbians for many centuries.  I don't try to figure out what God intended and those who do seem to often arrive at *very* different results.  So be it.

Government has now given is inalienable rights ... yet we were given unalienable rights by our Declaration of Independence .... that is OUR National problem today. If government had stayed OUT of this all together we would not have this, he said-she said, and I deserve to be heard and have enforced special rights. This postmodernism of false truths is called "progress" today. We seem to have accepted human secularism as Truth, which it can't be, for God does not deceive man does to entice his desires of the flesh.

Many I'd met were born the way they were.  Yes, that does happen much more than one believes.  I have never had them "flaunt their ideas" upon me.  Not once in 26 years in SF, 12 years in NY nor 5 years in LA  You must have been around some weirdos.  I worked with them in show business and found them excellent performers, easy to get along with and unwanting to push either their ideas or their lifestyles on me or any other "straights" i knew.  And going back into the old testament of find excuses for judging others doesn't work for me.  You speak of "going forward together in peace".  Is that what you call police raids on gay bars in NY, and regular assaults on gays minding their own business in San Francisco. and the murders in a Florida nightclub...so many other assaults and killings in our not always "free" society?  And the Christ said, "Judge not, that ye be not judged."

Your missing my point of moving forward "in peace". The acts you speak of are unknown to many, but most do not want the moral soil of their communities to show a preference to a sexual immorality they abhor. Today we have special privileges, given by government as special sexual equality, which demeans all equality. This is the group thinking that is the battlefield on which the devil fights .. in our minds. That early mindset begins a character, personality, and a lifestyle of preferences. Yet if those actions, thoughts, and beliefs are not in line with what God says, then they are thoughts we shouldn’t act on, they are an evil deception. Jesus Christ did not specifically call out homosexuality, however, He did speak clearly concerning marriage, Jesus stated ... “At the beginning the Creator ‘made them male and female,’ ... ‘For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.' So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate” (Matthew 19:4–6). Here Jesus clearly referred to Adam and Eve and affirmed God’s intended design for marriage and sexuality.

Since a man cannot bear a child with his naturally given sexual tools, then how did he become a human at all and not an ape or a goat? Jesus did judge at the temple courts for he called it out as a "den of thieves", He judged and He acted in human terms for all to know. Christ, also called on others to serve in love, and to share the message of Jesus with all people, including those involved in homosexuality. Jesus said, “Out of the heart come evil thoughts—murder, adultery, sexual immorality, theft, false testimony, slander” -Matthew 15:19–20, Romans 1:24–31). Our freedoms start with Truth, and the light against darkness.
