Its surprising how much you can accomplish if you don't care who gets the credit
Anything these two dream up will not be good for the country and most likely will be ant-Constutional. Take that into consideration when you read this article. Then stop believing the Koch Brothers were ever conservatives.
BESIDES BEING BILLIONAIRES and spending much of their fortunes to promote pet causes, the leftist financier George Soros and the right-wing Koch brothers have little in common. They could be seen as polar opposites. Soros is an old-fashioned New Deal liberal. The Koch brothers are fire-breathing right-wingers who dream of cutting taxes and dismantling government. Now they have found something to agree on: the United States must end its “forever war” and adopt an entirely new foreign policy.
In one of the most remarkable partnerships in modern American political history, Soros and Charles Koch, the more active of the two brothers, are joining to finance a new foreign-policy think tank in Washington. It will promote an approach to the world based on diplomacy and restraint rather than threats, sanctions, and bombing. This is a radical notion in Washington, where every major think tank promotes some variant of neocon militarism or liberal interventionism. Soros and Koch are uniting to revive the fading vision of a peaceable United States. The street cred they bring from both ends of the political spectrum — along with the money they are providing — will make this new think tank an off-pitch voice for statesmanship amid a Washington chorus that promotes brinksmanship.
Another view on this partnership:
If George Soros is the billionaire guy all the ideologically right types love to hate — with good reason, really — and Charles Koch is the billionaire of Big Business adoration — meaning, the guy the ideological left love to hate — then what’s up with their partnering for an “anti-war” think tank called the Quincy Foundation?
Here’s the answer: Because Soros and Koch are both cut from the same globalist cloth.
While Soros is busily bouncing money into political causes that advance his progressive-slash-socialist views, Koch is busily pouring equal amounts in cash for causes that advance his Wall Street views. For example? For example, for Koch, it’s money before borders.
“Billionaire Koch Brothers Launch Super PAC to Support Open Borders’ Politicians,” one Breitbart headline ran, just about a year ago.
It is the Love for money that is evil, not the love of what it can do to better humankind. Marxist socialism cannot better humankind, it destroys the value of life itself.
"Thou shald not covet thy neighbors goods (property)" ... and the 10th amendment to the Constitution !!!
The article's author lost me right away when he referred in the first and fourth sentences to the Koch Bros being fire-breathing right-wingers while toning down his description of Soros as being merely Liberal. Nothing about Soros funding pro-Communist, anti-U.S., and violence-inducing causes and groups. The author clearly has no credibility, but he does have very questionable judgment and an inability to think logically.
Mike: That is why we linked to a different article on the same subject. One would never know they are about the same topic.
It is a hard thing to get one's head around with the teaming up of Soros' and Koch but AFA I think you nailed the answer.
Remember when George H.W. Bush made a call for "A kinder and gentler nation" well that call was interrupted as reality of 9/11 set in.
It is pure and simple greed that drives these people, the evil globalist.
In the Boston Globe was the following words "Since peaceful foreign policy was a founding principle of the United States, it’s appropriate that the name of this think tank harken back to history. It will be called the Quincy Institute for Responsible Statecraft, an homage to John Quincy Adams, who in a seminal speech on Independence Day in 1821 declared that the United States “goes not abroad in search of monsters to destroy. She is the well-wisher to the freedom and independence of all. She is the champion and vindicator only of her own.” The Quincy Institute will promote a foreign policy based on that live-and-let-live principle."
There is nothing peaceful that Soros' have brought to the world. Koch pure self interest.
I do not want endless war. Many types of wars in present day.
But trusting a Soros or Koch motivation count me out.
Perfect response with information that I didn't know about. You're right about the many kinds of War. Today we are engaged in a War of lofty independent ideals VS. the tyrannical EVIL collective left ... set out to destroy all that we have as a sovereign nation. It is this socialism that is straight out of the 1936 Constitution of the Soviet Union from communist Stalin. Mark Levin talked about it ... Chapter X spells it out word for word of what is todays Democratic party. I suggest all read it for yourselves.
Here is a link to Chapter X for who care to read the all of the language.
Thank you John and AFA for this info. I've read it all. I can see why uneducated people think this is wonderful. This is where we need only look at the execution of this chapter to see the truth. None of the strings attached are spelled out and it sounds like a wonderful utopia.
Yes Levin also shares this part of his book many times on TV. A good fellow that spreads the warning to all who are willing to open their minds.
