I believe that we have got to get our act together. We are a fractured party.
In other words we have got to get behind ONE candidate. If we don't we will be doomed
to be ruled by the money machines.....aka McCain and his ilk.

Look up the difference ... it may be just one letter but it is PROFOUND what it means to everyday life.
Trump is the only one, except God, who can heal and make us proud again to Be Called American ... all else is evil deceit ... by republicans AND democrats.
Arthur, we've been playing that tune through the last 4 elections. The state party doesn't publicly get into candidate selections. I don't agree with that but at the same time, it opens the door for more of the establishment. We have not had a conservative in that job in years and the scramble for candidates takes place behind closed doors. BUT, if there is a viable candidate filed, has a campaign staff, checks out to be a true conservative, good moral character, personally successful, NO ONE ELSE should get in. But we can do nothing about egos! We have it straight from the horses mouth that one of our sitting republican Congressmen went to both Meluskey and Ward and said he would run against McCain if they wanted or were willing to step aside. Meluskey was in agreement, Ward refused. We were not in the room when that took place but we put a lot of faith in our source! So, resources were split between two candidates who had issues of name ID and money from the beginning. When we get sick of the way we do things, it will change and not a minute sooner. You can lead a horse to water, but.....
I never heard about the request for Melusnkey and Ward to step aside.
Obviously that would have been something we all should have heard about.

Yes, Egos do screw up the whole thing. Nobody is perfect, but I guess we have
to do a better job in vetting and convincing those who can not win to be responsible enough
to stand down. I get so frustrated with the Republican Party starting with Robert Grahamat the State level. He seems to be on board with the RINOS.
So far, we have not spoken with a single Ward supporter who actually vetted any of the candidates, including Ward. AFA did that. Every time we got a message about how wonderful Ward is and how wretched Meluskey is, we asked: Have you vetted both of these candidates so you will have a clear picture of who they are? We never got even one Yes answer. We asked it yesterday when someone was crying the blues about the "spoiler candidate, Meluskey." "Did you know this about him," we asked? NO "Did you know this about her voting record?" NO "Did you look critically at both candidates before deciding who you would support?" NO This is exactly the problem, people won't do their own research or vetting but always know who the best candidate is! Ward was never higher in the REAL polls than 25% until just before the election with Meluskey out of the race. The PPP poll is owned by Soros and it polled only Ward and McCain in a 4-man race that was designed to get the outcome they got: Ward & McCain tied at 41 points. That was never true, even on election day. If you add up all the votes between Ward, Meluskey & Van Steenwyk, it was still 10 points behind McCain. The very minute the THIRD candidate got into the race, McCain won! It's that simple. When Ward would not step out, McCain's win was solidified. There is more to that story but we can't reveal what that is. It's over now. We live with the consequences. Flake comes up in two years. Will we be any smarter then?
Point well taken and I guess I am as guilty as anybody. I never vetted her or Meluskey.
I did hear her speak on several occasions and even had a one on one with her ab out Veteran's issues. I liked what she had to say, but I never checked her voting record nor did I know much if anything about Meluskey.
Yes indeed we do have Flake to deal with and I really hope we can get some strong Conservative to come forward soon. It is obvious that who ever that person is, name recognition is a key factor and financial support needs to be there too. I am sure that Flake will have a large war chest and if not McCain will give him some of his largest.
Say, Arthur, did you know the veterans endorsed Meluskey, not Ward? Just curious.
No, I didn't know that about the veterans, which group? I am a life member of the VFW, the DAV and a long time member of the American Legion. I feel like I have been under a barrel and got left at the last turn. I do appreciate the uptick even though it is too late on the McCain coronation.
Sorry, Art, I don't remember. I signed a petition in favor of a written contract Meluskey made with them to fix the problems when they endorsed him.
Mr. Kennedy, I believe I heard Mr. Obama speak several times before he was elected. He was so eloquent that he made young women faint. After he got in and got his socialist program under way, he made old women like me faint.
Arthur, I'm going to weigh in on this. Ward was not going to tell that - it just makes her look bad. If Meluskey told that, no one would have believed him. Look what she was doing to him on a fb page that was started it seems just to ruin Meluskey. Bc that is all that was on that page except stuff about how wonderful Ward was. So who is going to tell that info? Maybe the congressman but that would have come with all kinds of retribution. That is the state of our politics now - if you try to do something out of the ordinary to win a seat we need, you get hacked to death. This is on Ward (and this is not the first I've heard this story) so I wish people would wise up.
