Incumbent, David Stringer. Arizona House of Representatives of LD, is a man of strong character and principles. He is a bold Conservative whose number one priority is the safety and welfare of Arizona and our country. He is a true patriot and I was much honored to have his endorsement when I ran in 2015 as 1st Vice Chair for the Yavapai County Republican Committee. He endorsed me because we understood the dangers facing our border state and country due to the Democrat party whose goal is to turn Yavapai County and all of Arizona from red to blue.

Representative David Stringer in his June 15, 2018 speech to the Republican Men’s Forum talked about immigration which is the 3rd rail in politics. What he said had already been stated by Governor Ducey at the 2017 National Review Institute’s Ideas Summit. “What we reject is immigration without assimilation and that is what we have had in the past few decades “. There is concern about our country being overwhelmed with immigration, its impact on our public school system and lack of assimilation

Immigration without assimilation is an issue and a threat to Arizona and immigration without white children is an issue because of the declining white population, many of whom do not attend public schools but rather attend charter schools, are home schooled or attend religious or private schools. The city of Tucson is under a desegregation order but due to the massive levels of illegal immigration and white children not in public schools, desegregation has not been achieved.

President Trump won the election by hitting this 3rd rail in politics. He spoke about restricting immigration. The only other politician who has the courage to bring the issue of immigration directly to the people is incumbent David Stringer. When any Republican politician brings up the issue, the left’s way of debating is to call you a racist.

The cabal of Establishment RINO Republicans immediately caved to a tweet from Democrat Arizona State Senator Martin Quezada, self-proclaimed as “Arizona’s Trusted Progressive Voice” representing LD 29 and Democrat David Schapira, who is on the Tempe City Council and candidate for Superintendent for Public Instruction. He tweeted the 51 second clip out of the 17 minute speech given to the Republican Men’s Forum.

The clip showed “There aren’t enough white kids around.” Schapira then posted his comment “It’s time to remove xenophobic radicals from elected office this November.” The next post was from Jim Small, Arizona Center for Investigative reporting, “A prominent Republican player told me that he was at a fundraiser for another lawmaker last month and Representative Stringer told him point blank that he was a “White Nationalist.” Of course there was nothing to back up this unsubstantiated claim. Schapira is an open advocate for the so-called “Red for Ed” movement. Conservatives know that this movement has nothing to do with education. It is a movement to recruit and mobilize Democrats to make gains or to consolidate power for the fall elections and is clearly anti-Trump.

My blood continues to boil that the top brass of the Republican Party and the Yavapai County Republican Committee pelted incumbent Stringer in social media and print with charges of racism based on 51 seconds of a 17 minute speech. This was 51 seconds clearly taken out of context. David doesn’t speak in politically correct language, so they decided to hang him on the Republican cross. The top brass is incumbent Governor Doug Ducey, Chairman Jonathan Lines of the Arizona Republican Party, National Committeeman Bruce Ash and Yavapai County Republican Committee Chairman Mark Sensmeier.

Bruce Ash’s Facebook page said he joined with Chairman Lines to demand David Stringer’s resignation in connection to the “indecent and uncalled for derogatory comments on immigration which he has made in the public square.” Ash added “he is not one of us” and smeared him by saying “he (Stringer) has said much worse in private” and that Stringer‘s views do not represent the views of “good Republicans anywhere.” My definition of a good Republican is to follow their bylaws which include not to express any bias toward a candidate in a contested primary, not using the smear tactics of Saul Alinsky and not marginalizing Conservatives.

Incumbent David Stringer responded to Governor Ducey’s State of the Union address in which he made criminal reform one of his priorities, targeting recidivism. David founded and co-chairs a Bipartisan Criminal Justice Study to address this issue of criminal reform. This will help whites and minorities to readjust to freedom and give them a second chance.

The brass is so consumed with taking Incumbent Stringer out of the picture that even the Democrats are angry. Speaker Mesnard of the Arizona Legislature condemned the remarks and proposed shutting down this Bipartisan Criminal justice Reform committee. However, on the Conservative Circus radio show of June 20, David reported that the members are regrouping and moving forward.

All of the Republican brass are nothing more than cowards who simply caved to this leftist rhetoric. The most unexpected and over the top extreme reaction was that of Chairman Mark Sensmeier and the Yavapai Republican Committee sending out a Constant Contact asking that incumbent Stringer apologize and then resign! The Prescott eNews reported the vote was 5-2 in favor of asking for his apology and resignation. I was informed that this vote was conducted by email. They didn’t even have the decency to have a table discussion and followed like lemmings without taking a closer look at the situation nor have a conscience about destroying a fellow Republican’s campaign for reelection or his life. The cowards didn’t even sign their names.

The members of this Committee are as follows: Dr. Mark Sensmeier, County Chair; Phil Goode ,First Vice Chair; Craig Kiggens, Second Vice Chair; Roger Reinsch , Treasurer; Alex Harris, Assistant Treasurer , Anne Roper Secretary and Sandra Laney , Assistant Secretary.

Incumbent Stringer is being railroaded for political expediency because the Republican Party is run by McCain operatives who despise Conservatives. Remember what Senator John McCain said about Donald J. Trump when he was running for President in 2015 and held a rally in Phoenix. “Donald Trump ‘fired up’ the crazies”.

On the local level the Yavapai Republican party is biased toward Stringer’s Republican challenger Jodi Rooney who will tow the Republican line as will Representative Martha McSally who is one of the Republican candidates for Senate. Her challengers are Dr. Kelli Ward and ex-Sherriff Joe Arpaio.
We all know that many of these Republican politicians are in office because the Democrats are worse. It is incumbent upon all of the Republican Establishment to give an apology to incumbent Stringer and his voters. Don’t expect it. They lack candor, decency, and respect. They may pay the price in more ways than one.

The GOPe has to be called out on this. We must stand behind Rep. Stringer and remain united as the true "good Republicans." He is clearly NOT "one of them," and those of us who separate ourselves from the establishment don't want to be mentioned in the same breath with McCain, Ducey or Lines.

Myrna, Excellent history and observations and your points are spot on. Thank you for this.

I am not a registered republican that sits on a high perch in YAVGOP however from my allowed lower perch I am afforded the opportunity to observe. Through my observations I have witnessed great bias within the state GOP, my county GOP and it permeates other republican orgs in my area. Where does this bias come from it festers from the fish at the top and these fishes who spread their rot. Many motivations drive the rot. One motivation is to marginalize and purge conservatives.

What the YAVGOP Board chose to do (2 did not vote for sending out the "apologize and resign call, I thank those 2 patriots) was not done with the consent of the PC Community. That says a mountain about how they view PC's. Disrespectfully!

Myrna has pointed out what I take away as disgusting motivations under the cover. Taking 51 seconds out of a 17 minute speech and I might add disregarding the contributions Stringer has made in the community and his pro bono work for the less fortunate places the Yay voters to crucify David an issue that can't be allowed to stand.

YAVGOP did not take the high road they are now walking the low road along with progressives. David Stringer is no racist. Speaking uncomfortable truths us not a sin. The left and RINO republicans truly have put a knife in Stringers back for their own twisted motivations driven to do this for two basic reasons (my opinion) their own warped aspirations and because David is a proud conservative.

All good folks here who are conservatives should now be motivated to fight to take our party back.

I would like to piggyback off of the opportunity that Myrna's opinion piece affords and post a complementary link to Myrna's opinion piece:

Myrna thanks again for your voice and may this inspire all conservatives to action.

Excellent segue from Myrna's piece, Patricia! We need a whole chorus of such replies to make sure everybody knows that this was nothing more than an attempt by the RINOs-in-charge to bump a conservative out of the primary, so there was no chance for a conservative to get into the midterm in November. Anyway, kudos to both Myrna and Patricia!

Excellent and clarifying description of what actually happened, Myrna! You made it clear that this has nothing to do with any candidate.

In fact, in my opinion, there is a widespread campaign being waged by our anti-conservative GOP state leadership. They have been challenging the signatures of multiple conservative candidates, costing them thousands in court. In by far most of the cases, they have failed to block any candidates. Most notably, they failed to block Ken Bennett from the primary. They also failed in their challenge of the excellent candidate, Wendy Rogers. And they have failed to force the resignation of David Stringer, by claiming he said something racist. Fortunately, conservatives are a pretty close-knit group in Yavapai, so there was little chance they could prevail. But the point is that they are throwing a lot of dirt on an awful lot of people. This is a full-fledged campaign by the leadership against bona fide Republican candidates!

There is something very wrong when the leadership of the state party is using its general counsel AGAINST candidates, as in this suspiciously numerous spate of challenges to petitions. But, when the governor and others in positions of authority it smells strongly, in my view, of a misuse of that authority. It is an authority that was temporarily given to these elected officials, for the purpose of representing us. It was never intended to be used to tilt the scales against conservatives.

And while I am at it, I'm sick and tired of RINOs calling themselves conservatives. No one is fooled. It could not be more obvious. Our party would be a lot healthier if it could be allowed to follow its platform and represent the principles of the Founders in its every move. None of that is happening, plus, now the leadership is trying, it seems, to sabotage as many conservative candidates as possible. Yes, Connie, GOPe is alive, and keeping active, in its old age. Time for the RINOs Rockin' chair, though, don't ya think?  Time to breathe clear air and listen to clear conservative ideas, and enjoy  the youthful idealism of the true conservatives! The patriots! What a concept!

Thank you Marianne.  It is patriots like you that keep my fire blazing.

What in GOD's name is going on with the "RHINO" republicans.  I guess Ducey is afraid he will have to work to keep his job.  Mark Sensmier the "president in name only" of the Yavapai Executive Committee found a voice?  Not hardly.  My guess is someone higher up that Mr. S is afraid of shook his chains.  There are no Republicans in this party any longer.  Dave Stringer is a straight conservative REPUBLICAN and a friend of all people.  That clip taken from his short speech last week amounts to nothing, but the liberal idiots are running loose again.  I cannot for the life of me understand why sensible people even consider a comment that was said as being racist.  As for those two dimms jumping up and screaming about racism is beyond the pale.  They are just two lonely men looking for a job and don't vote for them.  I won't even write their names.  Do not want to promote them at all.

Good question you ask. The answer can be found in consideration of motivations of the RINOs and CINOs.

Well said, Jacque. If there is any decency in these folks they will resign.

Let’s do a little history on Chairman Mark Sensemeir:

At one of our meetings, after we presented a resolution to censure John McCain, Sensemeir stood up for 20 minutes, trying to convince the PCs that it was a very bad idea to censure a sitting Senator. Now I ask you are the words “white kids” as bad as what McCain has done and continues to do to our state and our nation?

Last August, three state committeemen positions became available. Our bylaws say the next highest vote-getter will be in line to take those positions. The PCs knew who the persons were that should be appointed. But to no surprise, Jonathan Lines chose his own. Sensemeir’s excuse was that he really didn’t know our bylaws or that of the AZGOP so he approved Lines appointees. Would it be too much to expect the County Chairman, and Professor no less, to know the laws that govern his appointment?  Later he expressed his apologies to state committeemen hopefuls and said it wouldn’t happen again. In other words “go pound sand.”  After months of this crap, he was forced to challenge Lines and get the rightful state committeemen appointed.  But not until four months had lapsed.

By the Chairman’s own admission, he contacted Lines after he had decided to ask the EC to support his letter regarding Representative Stringer. He said it was to let Lines know that “we were going to have a firestorm in Yavapai County.”  Right! It is my opinion that he wanted Lines' sanction which, as you saw, he immediately received.  According to Sensemeir, his motivation was strictly moral. Ok, I’ll buy that. But if it was as he says, and knew there would be blowback, this moral man should not have dragged the EC and the PCs into the cesspool with him. Those are not the actions of a moral man.

PCs in Yavapai County and throughout the state, I ask you to join me in holding the following officials accountable by asking for their resignation:  Mark Sensemeir, Craig Kiggens, Sandra Laney, Alex Harris and Ann Roper.  At the same time, I ask all of you to applaud Phil Goode, our 1st Vice and Roger Reinsch, Treasurer for refusing to be party to this despicable act of disloyalty to the Yavapai County Republican Committee and the Republican Party.

Good reply post Rose!

If my memory serves me right when Mark ran for Chairman of YAVGOP didn't David endorse another? Hmm if true can what Mark spearheaded with the EC's have a tinge of refringe to his actions? LOL if true Mark has taken a page out of the McCain political playbook.

Mark is taking orders from the McCain operatives within the Republican party.

What the heck is going on in Yavapai County?  I thought that was a conservative area of AZ.  Doesn't sound like it.  Then that creepy guy posing as a pastor who writes the most abusive crap about women is from Yav Cty who posts under the name Silence Do Good aka Jim Dutton on twitter.  Is he one of the nasty Yav Cty ringleaders?  Time for Myrna and all you nice conservatives to get crackin' and get rid of these liberal Rs. Bennett's from your area, hope you are supporting him over the Duce.
