Arizona Citizens Supporting Honest Representative Government At All Levels

I hope everyone here is aware that our Senator, Krysten Sinema, has been defying her party line to keep the filibuster in place in the Senate. I received this text yesterday as part of a campaign to pressure her into getting rid of the filibuster,
"Hi Aaron ! This is Stephanie with Common Cause . The For the People Act, the comprehensive bill on voting rights and rooting dark money out of politics, is going to be voted on in the Senate this month. However, it will not pass unless your Senator calls to end the filibuster - which Senator Sinema has yet to do. Can you give their office a call right now and ask them to eliminate the filibuster? Reply YES to call.--"
Here was my reply, " Hell NO! We absolutely must keep the filibuster. The filibuster is a crucial tool for minority voices. Getting rid of the filibuster is utterly anti-people. Get off my phone."
I've sent a note to her office very much in support of her defending the filibuster. I think she should get lots more support than just me.
Us Arizonans may be represented by two Democrats at the moment, but lets encourage them to be as purple as possible.
Can people call, write, text, or tweet at Kyrsten Sinema, and show her she has lots of constituent support to maintain her current position? Thank you!
I agree and was about to call her office but noticed its late and will definitely call and thank her tomorrow. Many should do the same and also Joe Manchin.
Manchin? He hasn't done anything . . . yet. He talks a great game, but when push comes to shove, he always votes with the Democrats. I wouldn't put a lot of faith in him. I don't trust him if there ever is a vote.
Manchin has publicly stated multiple times he will vote to KEEP the Filibuster nor will he support HR 1. We need to wait and see if he is telling the truth. It would be very hard for him to vote for either being that he represents WV.
AS I said, he always votes with Democrats. So I refuse to trust him if there is a vote.
Bait. Good cop, bad cop. The Left wants AZ. Same old game and where policy is concerned, meaningless in the end for us, "progressive" policy runs on.
The GOP in US Congress is demonstrably not "conservative". In the past three decades we've given them congressional majorities, with and without the White House as well. Can you name a single piece of passed "conservative" legislation in that time? ("Tax cuts" where the shortfall is made up by borrowing or printing money doesn't count.) "Conservative" is just a word which they use. Here in AZLEG, they're fine, but the ones the State Committees choose to send to Washington, end up being Leftist enablers no matter their talk: McCain, Flake, Murkowski, Collins, Ryan, Boehner... Where Washington DC is concerned, the GOP is miles away from their voters.
Please be mindful that "winning' isn't putting bodies calling themselves "Republican" in congress. "Winning" is this and only this: getting both the passed legislation and domestic/foreign policy which we want and the country needs.
you are so correct!
I have had issues with Kyrsten in the past, but she has shown some grit by not voting to remove the filibuster. I sent her a message acknowledging that she is using common sense in this issue and that it will show she cares about Arizona.
I can support the filibuster w/out supporting Sinema. I can thank her for doing the right thing and not support her for AZ U.S. Senator.
If Krysten is our only line against the looney left here in Arizona, she deserves our support regardless of what ever her lifestyle choices are.. God knows we have no support from Marxist Kelly..
BTW: Continue to remove your kids out of the so-called "public school system" it is because of these tax payer supported left wing looney bins it the reason we are in this mess to begin with.. Good job America you have created a generation of AOC's
But its for the children,,, My ass... FU Red for ED..
