Applicants Wanted To Replace Outgoing Maricopa County District 2 Supervisor Chucri
PHOENIX – The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will seek applicants for appointment to District 2 Supervisor starting next week. On Tuesday, the Board accepted the resignation of current District 2 Supervisor Steve Chucri who plans to vacate the position on November 5, 2021.

In the recording of the March conversation Chucri revealed to Shelby Busch, one of the founders of the pro-audit group, We The People, that his fellow supervisors feared an audit. Chucri said, “Gates got scared because he barely won, and Jack got scared because he only won by 200 votes, and if there was an audit and a recount, which is pretty bullshit by the way, what would happen in those two races?”
