House Grapples With Hundreds of National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) Amendments...

and flawed base bill

Editor:  Note that this unmasks the true nature of democrats who will destroy the entire culture of America with these proposed amendments. It's all they think about and all they want.

With the Senate having processed their version of the NDAA before the 4th of July recess, the House begins their process this week. The House will consider over 500 amendments before moving to final passage of the NDAA (H.R. 2500) on Friday.

We have three major concerns with the House’s base bill of the NDAA:

  1. The topline number for defense spending is $17 billon below President Trump’s request and calls for over $1.2 billion in military personnel cuts.
  2. It restricts any Department of Defense funding from going to the border wall or going towards border security.
  3. It includes restrictions for low-yield nuclear weapons, which threatens American global superiority in this field.

On top of this, radical liberals in the House are proposing some very concerning amendments:

  • Sheila Jackon Lee (D-Texas) — Bans funds to be used for the implementation of President Trump’s ban on transgenders serving in the military.
  • Alexandria Ocasio Cortez (D-N.Y.) — Prohibits President Trump from deploying troops to the border to enforce immigration laws.
  • Jackie Speier (D-Calif.) — Includes SOGI (sexual orientation & gender identity) language to qualifications for military service.
  • Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) and Barbara Lee (D-Calif.) — Cuts overseas contingency operations fund by $16.8 billion

Heritage Action strongly opposes these amendments and encourages members of Congress to reject them.

Conservatives have, however, proposed a number of important amendments that must be added to the bill:

  • Clay Higgins (R-La.) — Strikes the two sections that would prohibit wall funding.
  • Steve King (R-Iowa) — Prohibits DOD funds for transgender sensitivity training in the military.
  • Andy Biggs (R-Ariz.) — Strikes any existing language that prevents wall funding.

> > > Call your member TODAY asking them to reject the radical liberal parts of the bill and support the Higgins, King, and Biggs Amendments.

Since the House’s NDAA bill will vary significantly from the Senate’s version, the two chambers will go into conference to reconcile the differences. This will be a messy process [...].

If ever anything showcases the reason to vote for the worst R over any dem, this is it.  I don't want to hear about voting for evil since someone already pointed out that there is little difference in the two parties.  BUT, this budget proposal proves once for all there is a slight difference.  I have never seen an R make these kinds of proposals nor vote for them.  Think about them what you will, we would never get a proposed bill, budget or anything else like this from anyone but a dem.  THIS is the reason to vote R!!!

Yes ... YES

Frankly most of the demon-rats amendments show zero concern about liberty and freedoms. Demonstrates however their hatred of our President and America Open borders all the way.

The democrat party should be designated now as a terrorist organization.

My reading of history convinces me that most bad government results from too much government.
