If you feel like the Federal government is seriously broken and is incapable of fixing itself - don’t give up hope. There is a solution as big as the problem. Just this year, I have become aware of, and become quite active in, a group of volunteer citizens organizing the States to use Article V of the U.S. constitution to enact amendments to the constitution without interference from either Congress or the President. A resolution has already been approved by 3 states, and partially approved by 8 others, which calls for a Convention of States to pass amendments which would “impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office of federal government officials.” The name of the group is “The Convention of States” and their website is http://conventionofstates.com/ . I invite you to click on this website, volunteer to help in some way, and join me in the fight for liberty.
If that video doesn't show the game that is being played with Americans over the truth about marijuana nothing will. The misinformation and blatant lies that are being fed to us is incredible. I feel sorry for the parents who have struggled with children who are abusing it. There are children who have drinking problems too but I don't hear them talking about that. I often wonder how many of these parents who have these problems ever took the time to talk to their kids about marijuana in an intelligent manner. I have two daughters and neither one has ever had a drug problem. Both are self sufficient working members of society. My youngest is 28 and goes out drinking with friends on the weekend but has rarely shown an interest in marijuana. My oldest (38) was more like me and used it in her teens but as she got older she figured out what I did... you can't get much done when you're high. I've assured her that she'll have plenty of time to relax and enjoy a little when she's retired and hopefully it will be legal by then.
The place that my husband and I went to in Scottsdale is called Monarch and here is their website http://monarchaz.org/ . They have a menu that will give you an idea of the prices and variety of forms it comes in. The prices seem high but this is not the marijuana I grew up with. It only takes a very small amount. My husband gets the 120mg chocolate bars ($24 each) and I cut it up into 12 pieces. One piece usually does the trick for him so it comes to $2 to end his pain and let him sleep. We think it's well worth it.
I'm glad to hear you're a member of LEAP. I try to keep up with MMP but fighting amnesty has kept me busy for years so I think I need to catch up. Thank you for having the courage to put the conversation out there. I watched it for awhile but when Rebecca started in on you I just couldn't let you go it alone. She seems like a very bitter person and bitterness doesn't help either side.
