Thank you so much for your reply, Joanne.

I did not know about the Center for Self Governance, and if I had ever seen
the name, I probably confused it with the Citizens for Self-Governance.
This sounds like a wonderful organization and I will try to learn more about
it.  I do hope that some of the classes teach constitutional studies as
well, so that our future political leaders will be well versed in the
history and principals of our constitution.  I hope that the Center for Self
Governance can somehow get at least a portion of their courses accepted by
all private, if not public, high schools in America.  I know that some
private high schools now offer courses in constitutional studies - even
though the progressives are fighting this tooth and nail.

If you have not already fully informed yourself about the Citizens for
Self-Governance "Article V Convention of States' project, I hope that you
will do so.  I don't think that the two projects are mutually exclusive.  I
think that they are both vitally important to the survival of our nation.
The "Article V Convention of States' project is not a call for a
constitutional convention to rewrite the constitution.  Rather, it is a call
for a"Convention of States" to propose and ratify amendments to the
constitution only of a limited scope, i.e. “impose fiscal restraints on the
federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal
government, and limit the terms of office of federal government officials.”

These type of amendments will not be capable of automatically reversing all
of the damage wrought by the federal bureaucracies and the supreme court
over the last 100 years, but, if properly crafted, they will be capable of
stopping the advance of the progressive movement.  That is when we will need
conservative legislators who can steer us away from having every aspect of
our businesses and lives controlled by non-elected federal minions.

If you wanted, I could give you a list of a few books which discuss the
constitutional history and the issues to which I have alluded.  For
instance, on page 244 of Dustin Romney's "Rule of Law", we learn that under
the Affordable Care Act, the Independent Payment Advisory Board has been
created, given powers beyond healthcare, forbids Congress to have any
oversight, and given the right to make IRREVOCABLE laws, all if Congress
does not repel the IPAB within a six month time frame in 2017.  So you see,
this sort of thing does not allow time for a long term fix to prevent our
total loss of liberty.

I would enjoy continuing an exchange of information about our projects and
helping each other where we can.

If you feel like the Federal government is seriously broken and is incapable of fixing itself - don’t give up hope.  There is a solution as big as the problem.  Just this year, I have become aware of, and become quite active in, a group of volunteer citizens organizing the States to use Article V of the U.S. constitution to enact amendments to the constitution without interference from either Congress or the President.  A resolution has already been approved by 3 states, and partially approved by 8 others, which calls for a Convention of States to pass amendments which would “impose fiscal restraints on the federal government, limit the power and jurisdiction of the federal government, and limit the terms of office of federal government officials.”  The name of the group is “The Convention of States” and their website is http://conventionofstates.com/ .  I invite you to click on this website, volunteer to help in some way, and join me in the fight for liberty.
