I couldn't help but chuckle when I read the comments of the candidates for Maricopa Sheriff, Marsha Hill and Dan Saban that they are turning their signed petitions in on the same day that Federal Judge Murray Snow is handing down his decision on what he's going to do with Sheriff Joe. What springs to mind is, we now have a "Gang of Three" (which reminds me of the shenanigans of Washington D Cs infamous Gang of Eight) trying to take one of the best lawmen in the country down, because he has had the audacity to keep the promises he made each time he has run for re-election. And the current administration in Washington has had him in their cross hairs since they first took office in 2009, because he has done his job. He has refused to be bullied and has stood alone, against their tyranny.
Sheriff Joe Arpaio has been paying a price for it but he is also setting the standard for those of us who believe in OUR rights and who refuse to go along with those who are trying to suppress them. I say this as someone who has laid his life on the line for our way of life, as a soldier and as a Deputy US Marshal. Those life's experiences have provided me with the ability to recognize "True Grit" when I see it. And also, when I don't see it! I sure as all hell see it in Joe Arpaio. Still looking for it in some others previously mentioned. Just my humble opinion folks. Just my humble opinion.
